#16 So what's in a wiki?

Wikis could be useful and fun for local or community use like the local fair, family celebration, bookclub. I thought it would all be so simple and that Libraries should embrace the whole idea boots and all after viewing the Commoncraft demo. Peter Blake brought me down to earth ; just because technology says we can - should we?. Anyone can do it - as long as correct syntax is used which sounds as if a reasonable degree of monitoring & quality control is required. But in Librarylanda good thing would be that input by clients could foster a greater understanding to staff of how clients go about getting the information they need. More participation - better understanding - more usage - loyalty.
